The SASHA Coalition brings aviation and shipping stakeholders together to promote green hydrogen, Direct Air Captured carbon dioxide and related eFuels, and battery power as a route to decarbonising these sectors. The SASHA Coalition forms part of Opportunity Green.

Irish Government Taskforces & Committees

NEG8 Carbon sits on the following committees to have a voice in shaping key policies related to carbon capture, utilisation and storage in Ireland.

SAF Taskforce

The Sustainable Aviation Fuel Taskforce was established by Ireland’s Department of Transport to support the development of Ireland’s SAF Policy Roadmap, bringing together government, industry, aviation, academic and other stakeholders to identify policy actions, barriers and opportunities for SAF deployment in Ireland.

CCUS Taskforce

The Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage Taskforce is jointly led by the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to assess Ireland’s CCUS market readiness and progress the development of Irish policy and regulatory frameworks for carbon capture, transport, utilisation and storage.

NSAI/TC 75

NSAI/TC 75 is Ireland’s national committee for “Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage”, established by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) to follow and contribute to ISO/TC 265 standards work in this area. The NSAI is connected to both the ISO (international) and CEN (EU) standards bodies.
