Direct Air Capture Company NEG8 Carbon Welcomes Ministers Darragh O’Brien and Mary Butler

NEG8 Carbon was honoured to welcome Minister for Transport and Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, Darragh O’Brien, and Government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of Health, Mary Butler, to their headquarters in Waterford. They were j0ined by representatives from Enterprise Ireland, Mel Galloway and Martin Corkery.
The visit provided an opportunity for the ministers to see first-hand the innovative work being carried out at NEG8’s site.
During the visit, the NEG8 team guided the ministers through the site and held productive discussions on climate action, focusing on the potential of Direct Air Capture technology to play a meaningful role in tackling Ireland’s carbon dioxide emissions and contributing to the country’s broader environmental goals.
