HUB2ENERGY, a Kuwait-based company driving industrial decarbonisation across the Gulf region, took the stage at ADIPEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi to showcase the future of carbon management under the theme ‘Decarbonising Downstream Through Scalable and Value-Driven Carbon Solutions’.
Represented by its co-founder and CEO António Azevedo Campos, HUB2ENERGY presented a session titled ‘Deploying Direct Air Capture (DAC) in GCC Climates: Enabling Scalable Carbon Removal Solutions’ outlining how modular DAC systems are now engineered to perform under the Gulf’s demanding heat and humidity conditions.
Campos highlighted that:
“Direct Air Capture isn’t tomorrow’s technology, it’s today’s opportunity.”
He emphasised that DAC will play a vital role in transforming carbon from a liability into a resource.
He noted that the Gulf’s unique ecosystem , where science, engineering, and finance converge, provides the ideal foundation for industrial-scale deployment.
“In this region, collaboration isn’t optional, it is the technology,” Campos said. “When research, engineering, and finance align, innovation becomes industry and ambition becomes infrastructure.”
The presentation positioned HUB2ENERGY, together with its working group partners NEG8 Carbon, Wavelength Technology Centre and Climate Change Ventures, as leaders in developing scalable carbon removal systems tailored for Gulf realities. The initiative forms part of HUB2ENERGY’s broader mission to advance decarbonisation through digitalisation, industrial innovation, and cross-border partnerships.
HUB2ENERGY focuses on decarbonisation, digitalisation, and decentralisation. The company drives scalable solutions for the oil, gas, and industrial sectors across the GCC, with a portfolio spanning carbon capture, DAC, hydrogen, CCUS, and waste-to-energy applications, enabling the region to accelerate toward a carbon smart future.
