Ray is an experienced businessman with a background in international business having led Siemens Nixdorf in Ireland over a period of 11 years. Ray also co-founded a university seed fund where he invested in and helped develop many IP based high technology businesses. He continues this work as a private investor and advisor to a number of early-stage Irish technology companies.
By 2035, NEG8 Carbon intends to install 25,000 NEG8 Carbon System units throughout Ireland, collecting 10 million tons of CO2 annually. With a global goal of capturing 100 million tonnes of CO2 per year by 2040 and increasing this over the following decade to 1 billion tonnes per year.

Developing carbon capture technologies in Waterford, Ireland
Our Waterford site uniquely provides the ideal environment for developing our groundbreaking carbon capture technology. The location also provides access to sophisticated prototyping and manufacturing capabilities which will help to address the global challenges of climate change and global warming.
Over the next decade, we require capital to achieve atmospheric CO2 capture rates of millions to billions of tonnes.
Funding will unlock the next phase of NEG8 Carbon’s growth and technology scale-up. We are seeking investors with similar ambitions to us.
Meet The Scientists And Engineers Developing Carbon Capture Technologies
Our team of scientists and engineers all share a deep passion for solving the challenge of carbon reduction across the world.

Don is an eminent academic having served as a professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla for 10 years and subsequently appointed Chair and Head of the University College Dublin (UCD) School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering in 2003. He retired as Emeritus Chair of Chemical Engineering in 2016.
His primary research interests include carbon emissions control, reduction and capture and his research has been recognised and supported by Irish, EU and US research organisations. He has been researching and developing carbon capture technologies for the past 30 years and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field.
John is a chemical engineering post graduate with extensive experience in fields relevant to carbon capture and utilisation. He has published extensively in the fields of emission control, hydrogen production and carbon utilisation (over 40 papers). He was Chief Technology Officer at MOF Technologies, a spin-out from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) specialising in the production, characterisation and utilisation of Metal Organic Framework sorbents for applications including carbon capture. He was instrumental in growing and expanding the company from its roots in a university research laboratory and helping to prepare the company for its successful initial VC funding round. He has experience in developing technologies from the laboratory to pilot scale and on to full scale manufacturing. He is passionate about combatting climate change and brings over 20 years of experience in fields related to carbon capture and utilisation to the development and commercialisation of NEG8 Carbon’s DAC technology.
Adrian is an accomplished business leader with more than 20 years of experience in business strategy, commercial partnerships, operations, and project financing for both start-up and rapidly growing organizations.
His early career in the Irish construction sector provided him with a strong foundation in project management before he moved abroad. There, he led commercial teams on large-scale engineering/construction projects and joint ventures in the Energy sector across the Middle East and Africa.
As the Managing Director for a Middle Eastern subsidiary of a UK manufacturing company, Adrian successfully identified new markets, developed strategic positioning, and implemented multi-channel product distribution strategies. He has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, increasing sales, and growing margins while spearheading operational improvements to drive productivity and efficiency.
Adrian holds an MBA, a PhD, and is also a Chartered Engineer.
Kamil Pasieczynski has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in chemical engineering. Kamil’s engineering education has multidisciplinary aspects and includes a computational focus. His early career experience, before joining NEG8 Carbon, was gained in gas purification and renewable energy.
Cristina is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D. developed at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). She has years of research experience in academia and start-up companies, focusing on catalysis, materials science, process optimisation, as well as extraction, purification, and formulation of natural products. Since she joined NEG8 Carbon, she has worked in the development and operation of both laboratory and demo carbon capture units.
Debashis has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI), India. Debashis has expertise in various laboratory instruments handling and adsorbent synthesis for CO2 capture from a point source as well as DAC. In his early career experience, before joining NEG8 Carbon, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with CO2 and alcohol capture projects in the chemical engineering department at Vrije Universiteit Brussels.
